Job description

Summary/Objective:
The Brand Activation Manager (BAM) is responsible for executing and growing the local presence of Watermill Express within their market and is known as the local marketing expert. This role serves as the on-the-ground marketing lead, driving awareness, trial, and usage through field marketing, community engagement, and local partnerships. This is not an “office” job; the Marketing Area Manager is constantly out ‘in the field’ making things happen.
The BAM works closely with the Field Marketing Manager (FMM) to bring field marketing strategy to life at the local level by developing and implementing a localized field marketing playbook, specifically for their market. This is a highly hands-on, field-based role focused on execution, team support, and delivering measurable results in-market.
This is a full-time salary exempt position being offered at $55,000 a year. 
Essential Functions:
  • Field Execution and Local Market Growth
    • Execute local marketing plans and activations to drive awareness, trial, and repeat usage of Watermill Express
    • Represent the brand in-market through events, grassroots marketing, and community engagement
    • Ensure strong, consistent brand presence across all field activities
  • Brand Ambassador (BA) Management
    • Recruit, hire, train, and inspire a small team of Brand Ambassadors (BAs) in the market
    • Schedule, manage, and oversee BA-led activations and events
    • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management
    • Ensure BAs are knowledgeable, on-brand, and deliver positive consumer experiences
    • Communicate product information with confidence and has the knowledge to educate and engage consumers in positive and memorable experiences around the brand
    • Ensure flawless brand look of success across all activations.
    • Support the Marketing and Social Media teams with field content creation, as needed
  • Event Execution & Community Engagement
    • Plan and execute local events, brand activations, samplings, and community engagements
    • Identify and engage with local organizations, businesses, and community groups
    • Support grand openings and key company events in the market
    • Build smart and mutually beneficial partnerships that drive long-term brand visibility and trust
    • Represent Watermill Express at local events to drive awareness and customer engagement
    • Support Grand Openings and company-led events within the market
    • Ensure a consistent and high-quality brand presence across all activations
  • Local Partnerships & B2B Development
    • Identify and engage local organizations, businesses, networks, and community groups to build relationships and drive brand awareness
    • Develop and maintain local partnerships that create mutually beneficial opportunities
    • Drive outreach to potential B2B partnership opportunities (e.g., bulk users, community partners)
    • Execute partnership activations and distribute materials that drive mutual value and brand awareness
  • Operations & Logistics
    • Manage event schedules and coordinate staffing across all activations
    • Maintain and manage marketing inventory
    • Manage and maintain local marketing inventory (materials, giveaways, equipment), including tracking, ordering, and distribution of materials
    • Ensure all activations meet brand standards for cleanliness, setup, and execution
    • Support content creation by capturing photos/videos and sharing field insights with marketing and social media teams
    • Coordinate event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and transportation of materials
    • Maintain organized records of all events, including attendance, product distribution, demographics, and customer feedback
  • Reporting & Communication
    • Provide regular updates to the Field Marketing Manager, including weekly pre-caps/recaps and monthly summaries
    • Track and report event performance, including:
      • Attendance
      • Bottles distributed / sold
      • Customer feedback
      • Local insights and trends
      • KPI scorecard
      • Budget vs. actuals
      • Submit weekly recaps and monthly summaries to FMM
      • Provide feedback on competitive activity and local market dynamics
  • Regular and predictable attendance for required schedule.
  • Follow safety guidelines and act in a safe manner.
  • All other duties assigned.

  • Remote, but must be located in the Phoenix area to be considered as this will be in the field promoting our Phoenix units. 
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Hands-on experience in field marketing, event execution, and local market activation, specifically within their local market
  • Strong leadership & team management skills, verbal communication & interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with diverse customers and team members
  • Customer-focused mindset with a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to operate a smart phone for timecard tracking
  • Clean motor vehicle record and current valid driver license.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical event setup tasks.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and on your feet for extended periods
  • Experience with trailers, equipment loading, or similar is a plus
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to work overtime, including some weekends or evening work.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent,
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with field marketing.
