This hands-on internship, which begins in October and runs through early April, offers a rare opportunity to gain valuable experience in the fast-paced world of professional sports and live event production.
This is an ideal role for students or recent graduates looking to launch their careers in sports business, event management, partnership activation, or live entertainment production.
What You'll Do
Partnership Activation
You'll play an integral role in supporting the activation and management of corporate partnerships across the Idaho Steelheads, Front Street Fights, and Idaho Central Arena brands.
Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and updating the partnership tracking system (Trak) with proof-of-performance documentation
• Organizing and labeling partner assets for activation recaps and reporting
• Supporting partnership contract fulfillment and gaining exposure to contract negotiation and financial tracking
Game Day Operations
As part of the live event production team, you'll help execute all Idaho Steelheads home games, Front Street Fights, and the Idaho Central Arena events.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with in-game promotions and live entertainment elements
• Ensuring seamless execution of pregame ceremonies and fan engagement activities
• Supporting overall game day logistics and troubleshooting as needed
What We're Looking For
We're seeking individuals who are:
• Passionate about sports, entertainment, and live events
• Reliable, adaptable, and able to think on their feet in fast-paced environments
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
• Eagerness to learn and take initiative
Requirements:
• Availability to work most home games (evenings and weekends required)
• Availability to contribute 1-2 office hours a week
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program related to sports management, communications, or a related field (preferred)
• Other duties as assigned
This internship provides a real-world, resume-building experience inside the sports and entertainment industry. You'll develop skills that are essential for success in partnership management, event operations, and beyond.
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
