Job description

UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI AND LEGENDS GLOBAL

The University of Miami has entered a long-term partnership with Legends to oversee athletics ticket sales, customer service, annual fund solicitation/engagement, ticket operations, digital marketing, corporate partnerships, and multi-media rights opportunities. In addition, Legends will represent the University in developing campus-wide strategic partnerships. As the exclusive partner for Miami Athletics, Legends will engage Hurricanes fans and donors, local and regional South Florida businesses, and national brands with unique and integrated sponsorship, ticketing, and hospitality options.

THE ROLE

The Manager of Partnership Activation will be primarily responsible for the planning, execution, client service, and day-to-day management of all aspects surrounding Miami Hurricanes partnership agreements. The Manager of Partnership Activation acts as the liaison between multiple Miami Hurricane Partners and/or their agencies, Miami Hurricanes staff, and the internal departments of the University of Miami, including but not limited to, Athletics. The Manager of Partnership Activation will report directly into the VP of Partnership Activation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary liaison for Miami Hurricanes Partners to facilitate activation of integrated partnership agreements
  • Collaborate with Miami Hurricanes colleagues to fully understand each Partner's marketing objectives and priorities
  • Proactively coordinate and manage all aspects of partnership implementation and fulfillment; partnership assets may include, but are not limited to, IP rights, game day and in-market activation, brand messaging, radio/digital/social/print media, hospitality, and special events
  • Prepare and communicate timelines, artwork, creative specifications, and implementation deadlines
  • Maintain detailed planning records using CRM system, and manage budgets related to the execution of partnership agreements
  • Assist with the development of marketing proposals and presentations for both new business and renewals
  • Prepare and process all documentation related to client implementation and the creation of season end and year-end partnership summaries
  • Lead partnership renewal efforts with Department head and/or other applicable team member (sales)
  • Lead upsell efforts of applicable accounts collaborating with Department head and/or other applicable team member (sales)
  • Facilitate ongoing client engagement and opportunity identification via regular meetings, conference calls, and written correspondence
  • Coordinate special events for client accounts, managing from planning to execution of these events
  • Coordinate and manage all ticket and hospitality implementation, as well as scheduling and logistics for Miami Hurricanes clients
  • Be a team player and contribute to the general success of Miami Hurricane partnerships across all facets, including positively representing Miami Hurricanes among all corporate and University partners
  • Travel as required for campus events and client meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of three (3) years of high-level partnership activation experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Sponsorship sales, activation and/or solutions
  • Expert time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines on numerous concurrent projects
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading skills, and a strong ability to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office and G Suite products, KORE Software, Photoshop, and third-party research tools
  • Familiarity/proficiency with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other relevant digital/social media channels
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to establish strong relationships, effectively manage expectations, and provide extraordinary courtesy and tact while safeguarding confidentially
  • Ability to establish priorities and courses of action for handling multiple tasks and projects with minimal supervision, and a demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to prepare, understand and monitor activation budgets
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure
  • Able to work flexible and irregular hours (including evenings, weekends, and special events)
