Job description

Join the Oklahoma City Thunder as a Corporate Partnership Activation Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting sponsor partnerships through activations, promotions, hospitality events, and partner assets. This semester-long internship is ideal for students interested in partnership activation, client engagement, marketing, and event coordination within a professional sports environment.

The Fall internship program runs from August 24th, 2026, through December 4th, 2026. Interns will have access to professional development workshops, networking opportunities, resume reviews, and other activities designed to enrich their experience. Program perks include paid downtown parking and tickets to a Thunder home game during the season!

In this role you will:

  • Assist in the coordination and review of partner assets

  • Track and monitor partner elements including in-market promotions, in-game activations, website and broadcast features, signage, and community events

  • Participate in department brainstorming sessions to support the development of partner hospitality and promotional items

  • Assist with hospitality efforts for existing and prospective clients on game and event days

  • Collaborate with Partnership Activation and other departments to support event logistics, including set-up, guest check-in, communication and post-event breakdown

  • Support the Partnership Activation department in the development and facilitation of promotions and programs

  • Perform administrative support tasks including filing and archiving

  • Organize storage areas and assist with inventory tracking

  • Participate in client meetings as requested

  • Attend company-scheduled intern program events

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and eligible to receive course credit for the internship

  • Students pursuing a degree in Marketing or related field preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel required

  • Photography and Adobe Photoshop experience is a plus

  • Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting

  • Professional demeanor with a positive, team-oriented attitude

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Additional details:

This is an in-person internship, reporting to the Manager, Partnership Activation. The work schedule requires 25-29 hours per week and includes office hours, events, and game night responsibilities during evenings, weekends, and holidays. The primary work location will be the Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for occasional local travel. Physical responsibilities may include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. The work environment may involve both indoor and outdoor activities in various weather conditions, as well as exposure to loud crowd noise, amplified music, and flashing or strobe lighting during events and games. This internship does not provide housing or transportation. This internship position does not guarantee a full-time position with the Thunder upon completion.
