Job description

A well-established manufacturer of residential lighting is seeking an Order Entry Representative to join the team. This is a collaborative role with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational accuracy. The Order Entry Representative is responsible for collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders, managing a high volume of sales documents, completing post-sale administrative tasks, and resolving routine customer service issues.


Salary: $24/hr

Location: Houston, TX

Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high volume of sales documents accurately and efficiently throughout the shift.
  • Review new orders and process web orders daily with accuracy.
  • Process and manage returns accurately and efficiently.
  • Schedule and contact customers for LTL pick-ups, ensuring timely communication.
  • Contact customers via phone and email as needed, including supporting the Customer Service team.
  • Handle and resolve routine customer issues; escalate complex matters to leadership as appropriate.
  • Actively participate in training involving products, systems, and design.
  • Work effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and identify and resolve problems.
  • Exhibit professionalism with customers, team members, and all levels of leadership.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 yearsโ€™ experience in order entry in a similar role
  • Strong aptitude for navigating CRM and Order Management systems (Salesforce, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics strongly preferred)
  • Experience in interior design, custom home building products, luxury home furnishings and/or lighting industry is a plus
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
