About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Sales Order Processor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for entering and processing customer sales orders accurately and efficiently to support timely fulfillment and a strong customer experience.

You will work closely with Sales, Warehouse, Accounting, Purchasing, and eCommerce teams to ensure orders are handled correctly, communicated clearly, and resolved quickly when issues arise. What You’ll Do

Order Processing & Data Accuracy

  • Enter and process customer sales orders accurately and on time.
  • Review orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, terms, freight details, and compliance with company policies.
  • Process multiple order types, including standard orders, website orders, emailed orders, and EDI orders.
  • Maintain accurate customer, pricing, and order information in company systems.

Customer Support & Communication

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer questions related to orders, pricing, product availability, and order status.
  • Communicate order confirmations, updates, backorders, changes, and shipment details to customers as needed.
  • Work with customers and internal teams to resolve order discrepancies, shortages, and other issues promptly.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales Account Managers to support customer needs and sales initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse teams to help ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipment of customer orders.
  • Work with Accounting to address billing questions, credits, and payment-related issues.
  • Communicate with Purchasing regarding product availability, backorders, and substitutions.

Documentation, Reporting & Process Support

  • Maintain organized and accurate order documentation and records.
  • Assist with reports related to order volume, order status, and customer activity.
  • Support audit and reconciliation activities related to sales orders and shipments.
  • Follow established procedures for order entry, processing, and communication.
  • Identify opportunities to improve order accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as needed to support Sales and Operations.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in order processing, customer service, sales support, or a related role.
  • Experience in a wholesale, distribution, or multi-channel order fulfillment environment.
  • Experience using an ERP system such as NetSuite.

  • This position operates in a standard office environment.
