Job description

Job Title: Operations Supervisor 

Reports to: Territory Manager 

Location: Port Canaveral (On-site) 

Overview 

We are seeking a reliable and detail oriented Operations Supervisor to assist with leading and supervising the team at our Port Canaveral and Miami Cruise Ports and to assist with delivering/picking up mobility equipment to the Cruise Ports, Airports, Resorts, Residences, Convention Centers and Hotels in and around the Port Canaveral, Florida area. 

What That Actually Involves 

  • Supervise staff including hiring, evaluating, coaching, progressive discipline, and terminations.
  • Manage terminal and onboard rental programs and their inventories. 
  • Assist in training and managing employees in addition to providing leadership and guidance to all associates. 
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple routes. 
  • Plan and monitor employee schedules and route scheduling including regular communication throughout the day until all routes are completed.
  • Deliver & pick up equipment from customers in the Port Canaveral area as needed. 
  • Perform Tier-1 and Tier-2 service on Scootaround and WHILL equipment 
  • Adhere to appropriate security measures when opening and/or closing the warehouse. 
  • Ensure all vehicles, drivers, and processes meet DOT & Scootaround requirements.  
  • Schedule deliveries and dispatch drivers based on the requirements of the customer. 
  • Work closely with Operational Team Members, Customer Service Agents, and customers (both internal and external) to ensure exceptional delivery experience. 
  • Ensure all vehicles are scheduled for maintenance via Penske. 
  • Review payroll timecards on a bi-weekly basis.  
  • Ensure inventory management protocols are being followed in TrackAbout and Global Office.  
  • Partner with the Operations and Service teams and ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained for Parts & Supply’s based on demand.   
  • Assist Dispatcher with weekly physical inventory counts.  
  • Perform inventory forecasts to ensure equipment needs meet demand.  
  • Maintain warehouse organization and quality control standards.  
  • Assisting in other areas as needed and performing other duties as assigned. 

What You Will Need 

  • Minimum 1-2 year of supervisory or team leadership experience.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent Internal and External Customer Service Skills.  
  • Must possess analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills. 
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of warehousing principles, practices and procedures are required.  
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License. 
  • Must be able to lift up-to 50 lbs. 
  • TWIC Card holders are an asset. If you do not have a TWIC Card, you will need to obtain one prior to the start date. 
  • Able to work under pressure and in changing environmental conditions. 
  • Basic Computer and Microsoft knowledge required. 
  • Must have a flexible schedule to work available days, evenings, and weekends.

Essential Job Functions and Physical Requirements  

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds independently. 
  • Ability to sit, walk, and/or stand for extended periods. 
  • Ability to bend, kneel, squat, crouch, or reach to perform routine or business-related tasks frequently. 

Communication & Collaboration Requirements: 

  • Active participation in meetings is an essential function of this role. The employee must be able to consistently engage in scheduled huddles, meeting and/or team discussions using various platforms as assigned by your manager
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities with attention to detail and responsiveness. 
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating in a team environment. 

Onsite Work Requirements: 

  • Must follow all operational and safety procedures including traffic rules without any exception 
  • Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions and under pressure 
  • Must have valid driver's license and be able to operate company vehicle 

Technology Use: 

  • Ability to operate a computer, phone, and standard office equipment as needed. 
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn digital platforms for communication, documentation, and task management. 

Attendance and Time Commitment: 

  • Regular attendance is required for the shifts scheduled. 
  • Timely responsiveness and presence during meetings and operational check-ins are expected.
