At Inland Respite, we provide high-quality, compassionate respite care to families of individuals with developmental disabilities. Our Talent Acquisition team plays a critical role in supporting candidates through a positive, organized, and compliant onboarding experience from intake through orientation.

POSITION SUMMARY

As an Onboarding Specialist, you will provide administrative support throughout the onboarding process for candidates referred by the Intake Department for employment as Respite Care Providers (RCPs). You will create candidate profiles, obtain and review onboarding documentation, maintain candidate records and dispositions across multiple systems, communicate onboarding updates to internal departments, and ensure visibility throughout the onboarding process. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to move candidates efficiently through onboarding while maintaining compliance, accuracy, and a positive candidate experience. Once all onboarding requirements are complete, you will hire candidates in ADP Lyric and prepare them for orientation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and facilitate candidate onboarding from intake through orientation.

  • Create and maintain candidate profiles across multiple systems.

  • Obtain, review, and track required onboarding documentation.

  • Process Conditions of Employment and employment-related forms.

  • Review I-9s, W-4s, certifications, auto insurance, and supporting documentation.

  • Maintain accurate candidate records, statuses, and dispositions.

  • Update candidate progress to ensure visibility across departments.

  • Communicate onboarding updates to internal stakeholders.

  • Follow up with candidates regarding outstanding documentation.

  • Remove onboarding barriers and assist candidates through the onboarding process.

  • Monitor onboarding timelines and completion requirements.

  • Hire candidates in ADP Lyric once onboarding requirements have been satisfied.

  • Prepare candidates for orientation and employment readiness.

  • Maintain onboarding trackers, reports, and workflow documentation.

  • Respond to candidate questions regarding onboarding requirements.

  • Participate in special projects and department initiatives as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • 2+ years of administrative, onboarding, HR, or office support experience.

  • Experience working within multiple systems and databases.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
