Job description

Microsoft Architect
Summary
We are seeking a Microsoft Architect to define our clientโ€™s enterprise architecture and long-term strategy for the Microsoft 365 platform.  This role will lead the design, governance, and evolution of Microsoft technologies across the organization; ensuring secure, scalable, and business-aligned solutions.  Working closely with IT Leadership and technical teams, the architect will drive platform modernization, Microsoft Copilot adoption, and future technology initiatives while serving as the highest-level technical resource for Microsoft 365.
Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the enterprise architecture for the Microsoft 365 platform.
  • Establish governance, standards, and best practices across Microsoft 365 services.
  • Design solutions across Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Power Platform.
  • Lead Microsoft Copilot and AI initiatives with a focus on security, compliance, and data governance.
  • Evaluate integrations and new technologies to ensure alignment with architectural and business objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership for complex enterprise projects, platform upgrades, and migrations.
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver scalable, secure Microsoft 365 solutions.
  • Mentor technical staff, maintain architecture documentation, and communicate technology strategy to Leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvements in platform performance, automation, and user experience.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience designing and supporting enterprise Microsoft 365 environments or Cloud infrastructure.
  • Deep expertise with Microsoft 365 technologies including Exchange Online, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Power Platform.
  • Experience designing enterprise architecture for identity, collaboration, messaging, security, and AI-enabled Microsoft solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, governance, compliance, identity management, and security best practices.
  • Experience creating architectural standards, roadmaps, and enterprise technology strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  • Microsoft certifications including Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar.
