Your work will directly impact the future of technology and the sustainable growth of the Internet.
In this role you will support and optimize the operations of the critical infrastructure supporting IT loads in Switch Data Centers, including power, water, and cooling systems. You are also involved in developing solutions for continuous improvement in system performance and utilization, managing utility resourcing, capacity management, change management, efficiency, root cause analysis, design feedback, condition-based maintenance, end-of-life management, and various other data center lifecycle programs. Additionally, you are an on-site equipment and system expert, directly supporting continuous improvement, optimization, operations, and capital projects, and may also coordinate efforts globally.

  • Provide performance feedback of innovative Switch infrastructure solutions to Design Engineering.
  • Function as resident engineer for construction and retrofit projects for critical environments.

  • Tech Pioneers - You understand the power of technology to change the world and want to be at the forefront of that transformation.

What You'll Bring
  • A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or higher with a certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
  • An understanding of electrical and mechanical systems that may be employed in a data center environment. This may include electrical feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, power systems, ATS/STS units, PDU units, air handling units, cooling towers, pumps, and fire suppression systems.
