New Life Church's mission is to make disciples in the Pikes Peak region, by calling people to worship, connect and serve.
Job Summary
To serve the New Life Church congregation by assisting the Membership. Department in the role of part-time receptionists and database management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a receptionist three days a week and provide backup support to the receptionist as needed.
  • Assist in updating data within CCB as instructed.
  • Produce documents using familiarity and experience with a variety of software applications (including, but not limited to, Outlook 365, Microsoft Word, Excel, and CCB)
  • Be familiar with current CCB practices through video training.
  • Within CCB, address and mail birthday cards to congregants and other tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain supplies and order in all seat pockets in the Living Room. Clean and restock seat pockets.
  • Store and distribute as appropriate valuable lost and found items, contacting owners when possible via church database.
  • Prepare postage and reports for outgoing letters and packages to maintain postage supplies and postage.
  • Oversee the mailroom.
  • Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries of New Life Church.
  • Attend regular staff meetings and additional meetings when requested.
  • Manage and respond to calls and emails as needed.
  • Assist the department in coordinating various tasks and procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisor about departmental issues.
  • Assist supervisor with special projects, events, and diverse tasks in support of the department.
  • Attend department meetings, regular all-staff meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Utilize a thorough understanding of New Life Church employee policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate ongoing financial support for ministries of New Life Church.
  • Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment.
  • Cooperate with leadership by performing any other duties when asked to do so.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to read and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to type.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetical functions.
  • Effectively and efficiently operate a multi-line telephone.

Education and Experience
Education: High School or GED
Experience: One year of office administrative work preferred
Working Conditions and Requirements of Office Environment
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to sit and occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Close visual acuity to is necessary to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
