AIEN is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Membership and Marketing Coordinator to support a global community of professional energy negotiators and a collaborative Houston-based association team. This role is responsible for helping achieve membership recruitment and retention goals, engaging and supporting members, managing social media activity, and assisting with marketing campaigns for AIEN events, the AIEN Foundation and other strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for membership inquiries; processing applications, renewals and reinstatements; maintaining accurate member records; preparing membership reports; supporting the VP Membership and Membership Committee; and coordinating dues, onboarding, retention, lapsed-member and targeted outreach campaigns. The Coordinator will also develop member communications, support segmented email marketing, monitor and update website content, assist with regional event promotion, and help generate donor prospects and communications for the AIEN Foundation.
The role manages AIENโ€™s social media calendar and executes two to ten posts weekly in partnership with the Regions lead. The Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director, Director of Signature Events and Corporate Sponsorship, and Senior Coordinator, Global Chapters & AIEN Foundation to support membership growth across AIENโ€™s nine global regions, Signature Events, regional programming, Women Negotiators, Young Negotiators, New Energy Taskforces and process improvement projects.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelorโ€™s degree preferred, ideally in marketing, journalism or liberal arts, and at least two years of experience in membership, marketing and/or volunteer engagement. Strong customer service, writing, communication, time management, attention to detail, digital marketing, collaboration, problem-solving, data reporting and volunteer-management skills are required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp or similar platforms, association management systems, WordPress and Google Analytics is preferred; association or nonprofit experience is a plus.ย  Interested applicants may request the full job posting.
