Sales Engineer

Penn United Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly self-motivated, energetic Sales Engineer I to join our values oriented, dedicated team.ย  This person will tenaciously develop new business and manage all aspects of customer accounts related to our diverse precision manufacturing capabilities, with a focus on manufactured components for the medical industry. ย ย Our Sales Engineers are instrumental in driving our growth in various markets. We are looking for a candidate with a proven history of selling manufacturing solutions and who will be a true representative of Penn United Technologiesโ€™ capabilities.ย ย 

Responsibilities for the Sales Engineer I include: ย 

  • Provide technical marketing/manufacturing plans, strategies and ideas to new and current customers
  • Cultivate and maintain an excellent rapport with clients to maintain longstanding relationships
  • Manage all areas of customer accounts from customer services through accounts receivable
  • Discuss and clarify product specifications and design data in order to provide technical assistance to both the customer and the Company
  • Maintain regular contact with current and prospective customers to effectively communicate capabilities, and to develop and assure positive, long-term relationships with customer partners
  • Respond appropriately to customer inquiries and provide follow-up. Troubleshoot customer problems, directing them to the appropriate areas of specialty when necessary

Qualifications for Sales Engineer I include:

  • 5 + years experience in Sales for manufacturing solutions or equivalent experience and education
  • Experience in sales, business operations, or manufacturing in medical device markets strongly preferred
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Depth of knowledge in precision manufacturing, tool & die, and stamping strongly preferred ย ย 
  • Experience in reading and understanding blueprints, specifications and technical documents required
  • Strong math and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM software, email and productivity software
  • Ability to travel approximately 40%
  • Valid driverโ€™s license required and ability to travel internationally
