Job description

Position Title: Sales Engineer
The Sales Engineer plays a crucial role in driving business growth by identifying and developing new opportunities within the industrial equipment sector. This position requires a strong technical background, particularly in plastic injection molding machinery, to effectively understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions. The Sales Engineer will engage with various stakeholders, including engineers and procurement teams, to build lasting relationships. Challenges in this role include acquiring new business and managing a diverse range of customer interactions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and contribute to the company's success through effective sales strategies.
Sales Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with manufacturers and suppliers
  • Understand customer production needs and recommend appropriate machinery solutions
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals
  • Build relationships with engineers, procurement teams, and company leadership
  • Support customers with technical questions and production challenges
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to promote products
  • Manage sales opportunities in the CRM
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and RFQ responses
  • Complete other tasks assigned by sales leadership

Sales Engineer Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial equipment or injection molding machine sales
  • Experience with Milaron, Engel, Haitian & Yizumi, Sini, or Le-Mtro is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
