What’s a typical day as a Material Coordinator? You’ll be:
  • Acting as a key liaison between business units and procurement to coordinate material availability for maintenance work list items.
  • Utilizing SAP to support Purchase to Pay processes, manage procurement, and add components to standing orders.
  • Coordinating and verifying materials for worklists, reg tag / hot shot, and tools, as well as handling planned and scheduled maintenance scopes.
  • Tracking and managing P-Card purchasing, material receipts, core returns, and repair and return processes.
  • Collaborating daily with Inventory, Warehouse, Expediting, Buyers, Operations Maintenance Coordinators, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Optimizing non-stock warehouse storage, open bin inventory, and facilitating surplus material returns.
  • Developing daily reports on required materials for onsite and offsite needs (including emergency and project situations).
  • Implementing process improvements and sharing best practices to enhance materials procurement and inventory management.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have 10+ years of experience in a large production facility in the oil, gas, chemical, or LNG sector.
  • Are highly proficient in planning and scheduling with SAP systems; experience with Prometheus and P-6 is a plus.
  • Possess effective computer and data analysis skills.
  • Have broad knowledge spanning multiple maintenance crafts, with at least 3-5 years of craft training (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation preferred).
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of Maintenance and Reliability practices and Materials Management practices.
  • Have proven experience in maintenance execution management (lead, supervisory, OMC, or PMC roles).
  • Can prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excel in effective communication and teamwork across all levels of an organization.
