What is a materials coordinator?

A materials coordinator oversees the receipt, storage, and distribution of an organization’s materials. As a materials coordinator, you order necessary supplies, schedule deliveries, and manage your company’s inventory. You also maintain an efficient request system, through which employees can check the availability of essential supplies and check the status of materials they have ordered. Other responsibilities include working with vendors, coordinating materials storage, preparing for deliveries, and creating an effective organizational scheme.
