Position Overview

LTL Coordinators play a critical role in keeping shipments moving with precision, speed, and accountability. This is a role for someone who thrives in the details, communicates clearly, and takes ownership from pickup to delivery.

The LTL Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) operations within an assigned territory, with a focus on coordinating shipments, ensuring efficient consolidation and routing, and maintaining accurate tracking and documentation. This role assists in the day-to-day operations of quoting and routing LTL freight services, providing customer service, and tracking and tracing all shipments.

The LTL Coordinator supports dispatch operations by maintaining shipment visibility, while also supporting the sales team in closing new business and strengthening carrier partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate LTL shipments from quote to delivery, ensuring every load is covered with the right carrier, equipment, and service level
  • Build and deliver competitive rate quotes aligned with customer needs and company objectives
  • Enter and manage shipment data in our TMS with accuracy and speed
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation, including pre-claim materials
  • Track and trace shipments, proactively communicating updates and resolving issues before they escalate
  • Partner with internal teams and customers to deliver a consistent, high-quality experience
  • Communicate delivery progress and changes to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate subject matter knowledge of all solutions provided by the company in customer and prospective customer interactions
  • Maintain a clear understanding of the company's sales process as well as regulations and processes for LTL freight
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience in transportation/logistics, with min 2-3 years of LTL or transportation operations experience
  • 2+ years of demonstrated customer service experience
  • Clear, professional communication across phone, email, and internal platforms
  • Strong computer proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to follow structured workflows
  • Strong time management skills; comfort working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
  • A team-first mindset with the ability to work independently when needed

  • Experience with LTL, FTL, International, or Warehousing
