Distribution Center Lead
Direct Hire
Location: Groveport, Ohio
Pay: $26–$28 per hour
Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Distribution Center Lead to support a rapidly growing distribution operation in Groveport, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who excels in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing teams, and is committed to driving operational success.
Schedule:
- Second Shift: 2:30pm – 11:00 PM (plus mandatory overtime as needed)
- Mandatory overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs; candidates must be flexible.
Position Summary: The Distribution Center Lead will oversee daily warehouse operations, providing leadership, guidance, and support to a team of associates while ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are met. This individual will act as a key liaison between management and employees, fostering a positive and accountable work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations to achieve productivity, quality, and customer service goals.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to associates throughout the shift.
- Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and production metrics.
- Promote, enforce, and maintain safety policies and procedures.
- Train and onboard new employees.
- Communicate shift priorities, expectations, and operational updates.
- Identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiency.
- Assist with inventory control and accuracy initiatives.
- Collaborate with management to address attendance, performance, and employee relations concerns.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience as a Lead, Team Lead, Shift Lead, or Supervisor is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to motivate and hold team members accountable.
- Experience with warehouse management systems or inventory systems is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and being active on the warehouse floor.
- Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting and moving materials.

- A hands-on leader who leads by example and fosters credibility with staff.
- Able to balance employee support with operational accountability.
- Results-driven, with a strong focus on safety, productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.
