Materials Coordinator III
Duration: 12 Months + Possible Extension
Pay Rate: $33/hr on W2
Location: Cushing, OK
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Materials Coordinator III to provide coordination and operational support for warehouse materials management, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, and storage activities. This role supports construction projects and maintenance operations by ensuring the efficient movement, inspection, documentation, and availability of materials. The ideal candidate will work closely with Supply Chain, Project Management, Operations, and Logistics teams to maintain accurate inventory records and support daily warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain administrative control of all material movements into and out of the warehouse.
  • Coordinate the flow of materials throughout warehouse and laydown areas.
  • Manage material receipts, inspections, storage, and staging for construction and operations teams.
  • Verify material accuracy against purchase orders and coordinate with procurement and project teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records for all received and stored materials.
  • Coordinate the disposition of surplus construction materials with project stakeholders.
  • Perform material inspections and prepare regular status reports.
  • Collaborate with supply chain personnel, project teams, contractors, and vendors regarding procurement, deliveries, and inventory.
  • Coordinate shipments with logistics providers and transportation carriers.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant warehouse environment in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Participate effectively in cross-functional teams while working independently when required.
Required Qualifications
  • Seven or more years of experience in Construction, Quality, Supply Chain, or Materials Management within the pipeline industry.
  • Experience with supply chain procurement systems and warehouse processes.
  • Hands-on experience performing material inspections and interpreting technical specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic mobile device operations.
  • Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Oracle, Maximo, or similar enterprise materials management systems.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.
Work Environment
  • Position is based in a warehouse and pipeline operations environment.
  • Regular use of material handling equipment and required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed boots, hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, coveralls, and other safety gear as needed.
  • May involve working in industrial environments where flame-resistant (FR) clothing is required due to potential exposure to hazardous conditions.
