Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Materials Assistant to support our materials management and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with inventory control, receiving shipments, organizing storage areas, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials to meet production and operational needs.
Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments and materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using internal systems.
  • Assist in organizing and labeling materials in storage areas.
  • Prepare and stage materials for production or shipping.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Track and report any discrepancies or damage in received items.
  • Assist with stocktaking, cycle counts, and audits.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or storage area.
  • Follow company safety procedures and guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or materials handling role preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
