Job description

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving two primary markets – passenger vehicle and commercial truck equipment – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Job Purpose

Responsible for coordinating the scheduling and planning functions to maximize machine utilization and efficiency and drive customer past due to acceptable levels set by the plant. Maintain excellent customer relations, provide reports, analysis, and action plans of open orders and present effectively to a wide audience. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan supplier deliveries using SAP.
  • Use plant systems to maintain supplier and material information.
  • Monitor pickups and deliveries of material
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet business objectives.
  • Act as liaison between plant personnel and supplier to ensure on time delivery and address any delivery issues.
  • Support change management projects including engineering changes, resourcing, and new launches.
  • Resolve receipt discrepancies through internal invoice portal and validate with cycle counts.
  • Participate in inventory and cycle count activities as needed.
  • Schedule parts through assigned department to ensure fulfillment and delivery to the customer on time while maintaining target efficiency
  • Develop, monitor, and update daily delivery schedule for customers
  • Work with other schedules to ensure priorities are aligned
  • Execute expedites as required to support customer requirements.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects assigned by Inventory and Material Planning team lead
  • Perform all job responsibilities, duties and projects assigned, in a legal ethical manner consistent with current policies, procedures and industry standards.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience
  • 7+ years of experience  
Skills

•    Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience is required.
•    MRP Experience is required, experience with SAP preferred.
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
•    Knowledge of planning and scheduling activities.
•    Must be able to work effectively with others.
•    Ability to learn quickly and adapt.
•    Must have effective communication and analytical skills.
•    A minimum of three years’ experience in production/inventory control in manufacturing environment is preferred.
