We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 1 who will be a key player on our engineering team. This person will focus on enhancing production quality, efficiency, and volume. This role requires a proactive approach to project management, process development, and troubleshooting in a dynamic manufacturing environment. 


This job is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) at our Tualatin, Oregon headquarters and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship. 

Requirements

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Lead and manage engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Optimize production methods, material flow, tooling, assembly methods, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and apply new processes.
  • Document, test, and evaluate processes and equipment for new products.
  • Manage schedules, resources, and budgets for engineering projects.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal teams, providing feedback and support for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and address manufacturing challenges through root cause analysis and lean methodologies.
  • Contribute to the design and installation of new production machinery and equipment upgrades.
  • Support the development of standardized work methods and practices.

Job Qualifications/Experience & Technical Skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Manufacturing Technology.
  • One or more years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
  • Project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative.
  • Leadership and Communication, including the ability to motivate and guide teams. 
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of working constructively with all stakeholders including team members, management, and external partners.
  • Analytical Skills, including strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate risks and devise contingency plans.
  • Capacity to analyze complex data and reports to make effective decisions.
  • Adaptability, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Resilient in managing the dynamic nature of technical projects and capable of performing under pressure.

Working Conditions:

  • In a typical day the employee will spend time in the office and on the production floor, where the noise level is low to moderate.
  • May on a regular basis walk, bend, and lift up to 15 pounds

Compensation/Benefits: 

  • $53,000 to $89,000 annual salary DOE
  • Performance bonus program based on individual and company performance metrics
