Job description

The Plant Industrial Engineering Manager is responsible for managing and leading the plant's Industrial Engineering department. He/She will interact with management to develop hourly and salary staffing, business plans, and lead actions to achieve productivity objectives, including daily, weekly, and monthly business reports.
The IE Manager will interact daily with production management and union leadership about all matters relating to staffing requirements.
The Manager also develops direct and indirect labor budgets with corporate industrial engineering team as well as performs indirect labor and ergonomics studies with plant Industrial Engineers.
The IE Manager will support all aspects of Stellantis Industrial System (SIS), especially the workplace organization pillar, which includes value and nonvalue analysis, workstation optimization, and waste elimination while supporting the logistics pillar to develop factory flow analysis and material/parts logistics.
The Industrial Engineering Manager provides guidance and knowledge to develop efficient manufacturing processes and workforce for advanced programs.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering OR Bachelor's Degree in another discipline with equivalent Industrial Engineering Experience
  • 8+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Demonstrated experience with time and motion studies, development of standardized work, manpower estimation, and standard data
  • Must understand assembly manufacturing system and can demonstrate the ability to apply throughput improvement processes/techniques for manual and automated processes.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with previous managerial and/or supervisory experience
  • Practical knowledge in understanding traditional lean manufacturing systems
  • MODAPTS certification or equivalent (I.E. MTM-UAS, MOST)
  • Data collection, root cause analysis and practical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead a team and give clear directions.
  • Ability to learn new things and develop new methods and processes for powertrain environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Degree preferred
  • 8+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in a high-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a unionized environment
  • Knowledge of Stellantis Industrial System (SIS principles)
