The full-time Engineer Manager, in the Engineering Department at Aalberts, located in Myrtle Beach, SC will report directly to the Plant Manager. The Engineering Manager will oversee engineering activities across the foundry, machining, and assembly operations. This role is responsible for leading a team of engineers, managing capital projects, and driving productivity improvements aligned with company goals.

your challenge
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers supporting foundry, machining, and assembly operations.
  • Oversee capital project planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Develop and implement improvement projects to meet productivity, quality, and cost targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of engineering changes, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Manage tooling and equipment design and procurement.
  • Support product industrialization and manufacturability assessments.
  • Champion safety and compliance with OSHA and company standards.

requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering capital and improvement projects.
  • Experience in foundry, machining, and assembly operations.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software and manufacturing documentation.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy and material properties, especially in casting and machining applications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with MES systems is a plus.
