To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Industrial Engineering Manager located in Milpitas, California.
The Industrial Engineering Manager will lead a team of Industrial Engineers and IE Technicians responsible for labor planning, capacity analysis, factory layout design, workforce optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. This role supports operational excellence through effective workforce planning, work measurement methodologies, ergonomic process design, and manufacturing optimization practices.
The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, NPI, Finance, Quality, Supply Chain, Facilities, and Business Excellence, Process/Manufacturing Engineering teams to support manufacturing efficiency, productivity improvements, and successful new product introductions.
What a typical day looks like:
  • Lead and supervise a team of Industrial Engineers and IE Technicians supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations.
  • Support the deployment, maintenance, and sustainment of workforce planning systems including Raptor, STATIS, ARCH, and other labor management tools.
  • Develop and maintain labor standards, staffing models, time studies, and work measurement systems.
  • Perform workforce planning and labor calculations based on customer demand, production schedules, and operational requirements.
  • Conduct capacity analysis and resource planning to support production requirements and operational targets.
  • Support production readiness assessments for new and existing manufacturing programs.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks to improve workflow, productivity, safety, and space utilization.
  • Conduct line balancing activities and process flow analysis to improve efficiency and throughput.
  • Utilize FlexSim or similar simulation software to evaluate manufacturing scenarios and support operational decision-making.
  • Perform ergonomic assessments and workstation evaluations to improve operator safety and efficiency.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities through labor planning, capacity assessments, layout development, and manufacturing readiness reviews.
  • Identify and implement productivity improvement initiatives focused on labor efficiency, throughput, and waste reduction.
  • Support the development of CapEx justifications through labor savings and productivity analysis.
  • Collaborate with Finance to support labor forecasting, budgeting, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Facilities teams to resolve operational challenges and improve performance.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities across the manufacturing environment.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Industrial Engineering talent while supporting employee growth and succession planning.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2-5 years of experience leading engineers, technicians, or technical teams.
  • Experience with workforce planning tools such as Raptor, STATIS, ARCH, or similar labor management systems.
  • Knowledge of labor standards development, time studies, workforce planning, MOST, MODAPTS, MTM, and work measurement techniques.
  • Experience in manufacturing capacity analysis and resource planning.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for facility and production layout design.
  • Experience using FlexSim or similar manufacturing simulation software.
  • Experience conducting ergonomic assessments and workstation design evaluations.
  • Experience supporting NPI activities and manufacturing launches.
  • Understanding of line balancing, manufacturing flow, and productivity improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting CapEx analysis, labor savings calculations, and manufacturing business cases.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Operations, Finance, NPI, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
