Job description

Electrical Test Engineering Manager

Location: Fontana, CA (Onsite)

Compensation: $105,000-$130,000/year + 10% bonus


Electrical Test Engineering Manager โ€“ Key Highlights

  • Lead and manage electrical testing for substation control houses and power distribution enclosures (E-Houses)
  • Oversee testing team (engineers & technicians) and ensure safe, accurate, on-time execution
  • Own testing schedules and coordinate with Engineering and Production
  • Review and approve test plans, reports, and schematics for compliance and accuracy
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical guidance
  • Drive process improvements, root cause analysis, and efficiency gains
  • Ensure proper documentation, equipment calibration, and safety compliance

Core Testing Experience

  • Medium-voltage switchgear, breakers, protective relays
  • Power distribution systems, panelboards, ATS
  • Communication systems, HMIs, fire alarm, HVAC

Requirements

  • 5+ years in electrical/power equipment testing
  • Leadership experience managing technical teams
  • Strong AC/DC testing knowledge, NEC & IEEE standards
  • NETA certification (preferred)

Work Environment

  • Onsite in Fontana, CA
  • Hands-on production/testing environment
