We are looking for you to join our team as anEMI/EMC Test Engineer T3in Woodland Hills, CA. In this role, you'll work in a friendly, collaborative lab environment where engineers and technicians partner closely to plan, execute, and troubleshoot EMI/EMC test campaigns. If you enjoy hands-on work, learning new tools, and being part of a supportive team that solves challenging EMI problems, this role is for you.

What You'll Get to Do

This is a mid-level position for an electrical/EMI engineer withbasic EMI/EMC testing skillsand a strong interest in growing in the field. The selected candidate will:

  • Work as part of ateam of engineers and techniciansto plan, set up, and executeEMI/EMC testsat the equipment and subsystem level in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Configure test setups and instrumentation inEMI chambers, shielded rooms, and bench test environments, always with a focus on safety, quality, and collaboration.
  • Operateoscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF preamplifiers, LISNs, transient generators, antennas, and other EMI test equipmentneeded to run test campaigns.
  • Develop, follow, and help refineEMI/EMC test procedures, test configurations, and test reportsunder guidance from senior engineers.
  • Apply and interpret EMI/EMC standards such asMILSTD461 and DO160to support test execution and basic data review.
  • Analyze test data to identify potential non-compliances, clearly document observations, and supportroot-cause analysis and troubleshootingas part of a cross-functional team.
  • Participate intest readiness and lab readiness activities, supporting coordination with internal and external test facilities.
  • Maintain accurate, configuration-controlledtest documentation, including logs, screenshots, and formal reports for customer and internal reviews.
  • Demonstrate apositive, cando attitudeandflexibility to support extended work weeks and occasional weekend workwhen program schedules require it.

Basic Qualifications T3 EMI/EMC Test Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM discipline and5+ yearsof relevant experience; or
    Master's degree with3+ yearsof experience.
  • U.S. Citizenshipis required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an activeU.S. Government Secret Clearance(or active Secret clearance transferable).
  • Hands-on experience withelectronic hardware testingand/or EMI/EMC test environments.
  • Basic working knowledge ofEMI/EMC standardssuch as MILSTD461 and/or DO160 (test methods, limit lines, setups).
  • Ability tooperate oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF preamps, and other EMI test equipmentfollowing established lab procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability towork effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly, and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Willingness to supportextended work weeks and occasional weekend testingbased on program needs.
  • Ability to workonsite full-time in Woodland Hills, CA.
Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
