SUMMARY

Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant, with primary focus being the mechanics values stream, by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

ยท Lead/Manage projects to localize production operations.

ยท Design, create, and improve production lines using Lean and other common manufacturing methodologies.

ยท Monitor/institute value stream KPIs through the PDCA process using these KPIs to drive down inefficiencies, downtime, and improve quality.

ยท Report value stream KPIs at the daily PDCA 1 and 2 meetings and talk to the details of the daily numbers.

ยท Actively work with operators and management on continuous improvement in the Value Stream

ยท Maintain equipment and ensure that it is in good condition, operational and calibrated according to Engineering, Quality and Operationsโ€™ specifications.

ยท Create, review, and update all technical production standards and documentation.

ยท Bill of material creation and management

ยท Process routing management including verification of routings with time studies.

ยท Write project proposals including financial justification.

ยท Vendor management and coordination.

  • Utilizes formal troubleshooting and problem-solving methodologies.

ยท Be self-motivated and committed to being productive with little supervision.

  • Be willing to learn new skills and take training as needed.

ยท Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

ยท Performs other tasks as assigned by manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university and more than five yearsโ€™ experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role.

Computer literacy required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, G-Suite).

Familiarity with solid modeling preferred.

AutoCad 2D drawing or equivalent preferred.

ERP Experience.

Proficient Lean Manufacturing: SMED, EPEI, PFEP, Kanban, Glenday Sieve/flow.

Advanced knowledge of SMT process.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Good verbal and written language communications skills.

Good technical writing ability.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Engineering level

REASONING ABILITY

Engineering level

Can use reason to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Lean Expert industry training

Six Sigma (white/yellow) industry training

Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
