Job Summary:

The Senior Process Engineer will report to the Director of Semiconductor Technology. The position is focused on being a key technical expert supporting the sales and service organization as well as operation and installation of the semiconductor product portfolio. The position is full time based in our laboratory in Albany, OR.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring of the process team.
  • Demonstrate the use of semiconductor products to customers for sales and internal research purposes, produce written reports to explain findings.
  • Write, maintain, and develop applications notes for wet process BKMs for the purpose of sales, training others and guiding future technology roadmaps.
  • Design experiments for the long-term characterization of semiconductor product performance, such as cleanliness over 100 wafer runs, uniformity drift etc.
  • Provide technical support in collaboration with the customer service and sales organization including on-site commissioning of wet process tools.
    1. The Senior Process Engineer is required to travel globally up to 60%
  • Provide feedback for potential product improvements to the engineering organization.
  • Test prototype components in the demo lab tools as required by engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in scientific field with laboratory training (for example chemistry, physics, materials science)
  • 7 years’ experience in process development using semiconductor wet process capital equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience of operating and interpreting data from typical semiconductor metrology instruments (particle mapper, AFM, WLI, microscope, SEM, ICP-MS, TXRF)
  • Demonstrated written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in carrying out R&D projects in a laboratory setting.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Standard office and semiconductor laboratory environment including work at a computer terminal. Work involves extended periods of sitting, occasional walking, stooping, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
