Job description

Coffee Haven's Assistant Managers & Supervisors work directly with our customers, baristas, and General Manager to ensure the best customer service experience alongside the most delicious food and drinks. Their responsibilities include taking orders, preparing bagels, sandwiches, and salads, helping on cash registers, coffee station, inventory, and more.

For this role we are seeking an experienced member of our team who can help ensure we are running as efficiently and effectively as possible. The ideal candidate has experience with restaurant opening/closing processes and has worked in a restaurant environment for 1-2 years or more.

About Us: Coffee Haven is the leading bakery cafe in the area and we are continuing to grow our team. Holliston needs you! Our team is made up of folks who have been with us for years and many new people as well - it's a fast paced but friendly environment where our customers and our team put kindness and service first.

 Responsibilities:

  • Take customer orders, prepare bagels, sandwiches, salads, etc.
  • Step in to help in any of the service areas as needed
  • Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
  • Present food/drink options, make recommendations and answer questions regarding our products.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the cafe
  • Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to General Manager.
  • Assist the restocking and replenishment of inventory and supplies.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the General Manager or immediate supervisor. 

Qualifications:

  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Have working knowledge of cafe/restaurant operations.
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
