Job description

The “Christmas in America” store will operate year-round on ecommerce and the brick and mortar will be open from October to January each year. The offerings of the store range from traditional Christmas décor and unique Holiday specialties. The Seasonal Supervisor will be responsible for managing the staff fulfilling online orders out of our Mount Vernon Warehouse, interfacing with customers and  maintaining our inventory database and general troubleshooting.

Primary Focus is Supervisory Responsibilities. Holding Staff accountable to company policies and procedures, ensure staffing is productive and effective and the work quality is high. This role REQUIRES someone with STRONG supervisory experience.

  • Ensure Key Holders have a strong emphasis on store presentation including product placement, presentation and store appearance
  • Ensures availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventory
  • Direct staff to complete re-stocking merchandise.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment by upholding security systems and measures, theft prevention.
  • Responsible for management of seasonal staff; train employees and enforce policies
  • Fulfilling daily online orders, manage a team of pickers/packers during the high season to fulfill online orders
  • Manage a team of in-store staff on limited days when store is open- Work with Key Holder to ensure smooth operations
  • Ensure product data is accurate and aligned with inventory systems.
  • Monitor progress of online orders and ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Communicate with Memphis Warehouse staff on progress of orders out of their facility
  • Prepare and palletize shipments for Memphis, Schedule LTL shipments in conjunction with Logistics Coordinator
  • Coordinate local delivery to customers in conjunction with Logistics Coordinator
  • Receiving new product, entering it into the inventory system and storing the new product appropriately.
  • Documenting Product location in inventory system for streamlined, easy, picking and packing process
  • Contacting vendors if an item is discovered to be defective or damaged when product is received.
  • Day to Day Management & Operations of the Store including but not limited to, interacting with customers, cleanliness of the store, packing or unpacking orders, ecommerce, POS accuracy, inventory, schedules etc.
  • Manage and maintain e-commerce platform including data input
  • Oversee drop shipping
  • Producing general signage for any ongoing store promotions.
