Job description

Summary
The Maintenance Planner assists in administering and directing the maintenance planning and scheduling functions in a safe, cost effective, and timely manner. This role is accountable for the effective utilization and administration of contracts and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures the accurate and timely tracking of department costs consistent with Divisional and Corporate standards.
  • Ensures the development, maintenance and recording of a parts list and information library for all assigned equipment.
  • Maintains computerized maintenance management system and database for record keeping, preventive / predictive and reporting purposes.
  • Ensures crew scheduling is completed in a timely manner, consistent with operating requirements and complies with company and legal requirements.
  • Ensures maintenance requests are tracked and reviewed, on a weekly basis, including Food Safety, Employee Safety and Repair activity.
  • Ensures that the interface with other support groups is conducted in a participative management style; ensures interface with contractors, vendors and customers is handled in a professional manner.
  • Supports capital project planning and plant downtime tracking/reporting requirements.
  • Ensures that additional accountabilities, as may be required by management, be handled in a manner necessary to meet operational and Division standards.

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
