Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Planner

Job Description

The Facilities Operations Specialist plays a vital role in supporting facilities engineering, maintenance operations, and enterprise asset management initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment. This position acts as a crucial liaison among facilities, engineering, maintenance teams, vendors, and stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities, support CAPEX/OPEX projects, optimize work management processes, and provide subject matter expertise for the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM). The role encompasses project coordination, maintenance planning, scheduling, asset management, and operational support responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide enterprise-level support for EAM operations.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities across facility systems and equipment.
  • Assist in the execution of capital and operational projects.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and job plans.
  • Manage work order generation, assignment, tracking, and closure.
  • Support engineering planning, implementation, and execution activities.
  • Coordinate emergency maintenance responses.
  • Produce maintenance KPI and management reports.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Train users on EAM work processes and system functionality.
  • Support GMP and non-GMP maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate technicians, contractors, and vendors to support operational goals.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with Maximo and work orders.
  • Proficiency in maintenance planning and work order management.
  • Knowledge of CAPEX/OPEX project support and maintenance coordination.
  • Experience in contractor coordination and working in a GMP environment.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with relevant maintenance/facilities experience; OR
  • Associate Degree with additional relevant experience; OR
  • High School Diploma with significant relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting facilities maintenance operations.
  • Experience utilizing EAM/CMMS systems, preferably the specified system.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities and work orders.
  • Experience supporting engineering or facilities projects.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • 3-5+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Direct GMP facilities operations experience.
  • Experience with critical utilities and manufacturing support systems.
  • Maintenance program improvement experience.
  • Data analysis and KPI reporting experience.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a regulated manufacturing facility within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences sectors. The position requires working from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, in a combination of office, control room, and production support environments. There is frequent interaction with maintenance teams, engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders.

This is a Contract position based out of Frederick, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $58.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
