Now Hiring: Maintenance Director
Accela Rehab & Care Center at Somerton is now hiring an experienced and dependable Maintenance Director to lead all aspects of facility maintenance and ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
This is a key leadership role for someone who takes pride in their work, understands healthcare facility standards, and enjoys being hands-on while managing a team.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Director:

  • Oversee all maintenance operations, repairs, and preventative maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and life-safety regulations
  • Maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety
  • Supervise and schedule maintenance staff and outside vendors
  • Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergency situations
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility and grounds
  • Maintain proper documentation, logs, and work orders
  • Support survey readiness and address deficiencies as needed
Qualifications of the Maintenance Director:
  • Previous maintenance leadership experience (healthcare or nursing home preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems and preventative maintenance
  • Familiarity with life safety codes and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to manage staff, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Reliable, professional, and resident-focused
  • On-call availability for emergencies as needed
