Maintenance Director

The Orchards Michigan, located in Redford, MI is currently seeking a Maintenance Director to join our team.

Director of Maintenance Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assure that all defective machines, equipment, and appliances are repaired or replaced
  • See that grounds and facility are kept safe, neat, and orderly
  • Conduct monthly fire drills
  • Organize, maintain, and store all department-specific supplies and equipment
  • Inventory, identify and help store resident’s personal possessions on an ongoing basis
  • Complete forms, reports, evaluations, studies, etc. related to the Maintenance Department
  • Make sure all maintenance work meets quality standards
  • Supervise planned program of preventive maintenance
  • Responsibility for staffing, training, supervision, discipline, and schedule for department

Director of Maintenance Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program as well as computer knowledge/skills
  • At least three years of maintenance related experience and basic knowledge in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and lawn care
  • Must be available on call for urgent facility needs
