Location: Livingston, NJ
Position Type: Per-Diem
Are you a passionate, creative, and energetic individual who loves making a difference in seniors' lives? Spring Hills in Livingston, NJ, is seeking a dedicated Director of Resident Engagement to lead inspiring programs that promote social connection, physical activity, and emotional well-being for our residents.
About the Role:
As the Director of Resident Engagement, you will be instrumental in creating a vibrant, engaging environment where residents can thrive. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee a diverse range of activities tailored to our residents' needs, including life-enriching programs, wellness initiatives, and dementia-friendly activities. You will also lead and inspire our recreation team, working closely with staff across departments to ensure an active, fulfilling community experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement a variety of social, fitness, wellness, and educational programs tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages resident participation and engagement.
- Manage the Recreation Program, with a focus on dementia-friendly activities.
- Train and motivate recreational staff and volunteers to deliver exceptional programming.
- Oversee departmental budgeting, supply management, and documentation.
- Coordinate outings, transportation, and special events to enrich residents' lives.
- Organize family education sessions, support groups, and community outreach initiatives.
Qualifications:- Proven experience in activity planning and staff supervision, preferably within senior living or healthcare.
- Knowledge of dementia care and specialized programming for older adults.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
