Job description

Growing Maintenance Company is searching for a reliable Maintenance Supervisor. Company provides general maintenance services to a large portfolio of residential and commercial properties, apartments, condominium communities, commercial clients, etc. with an emphasis on quality of work, professional service and timeliness. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Supervisor who can lead a team, is conscientious and takes pride in their work, has the ability to work largely unsupervised to complete the required tasks, enjoys working with people and is interested in expanding their abilities through ongoing education and certifications.

Region: Central Florida-Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake & Volusia Counties

Duties:

  • Lead, train maintenance technicians.
  • Work closely with maintenance coordinator on scheduling, invoicing, ordering etc.
  • Perform general maintenance functions for residential & commercial clients.
  • Perform occasional (rare) emergency services for residential & commercial clients outside of normal business hours.
  • Maintenance functions include but not limited to painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical, light carpentry, property trash-outs, unit turns to ready for new residents/tenants, drywall repairs, ceiling fan, light fixture installations, preventative and recurring maintenance, general maintenance repairs.
  • Completes all work orders timely and efficiently to avoid call-backs.
  • Completes all work in accordance with company standards.
  • Foster on-going and positive relationship with residential and commercial residents and clients and deliver exceptional customer service experience in a friendly and courteous manner.

Experience/Skills Required

  • Maintenance supervisor experience.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance repairs including but not limited to painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, familiar with functions of various building systems and construction, ability to diagnose issues and repair them, etc.
  • Ability to complete work orders within a reasonable and prescribed timeframe.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and physically be able to conduct the various functions typically required of maintenance personnel including bending over, stooping, squatting, climbing stairs and ladders, etc.
  • Work hours are Monday – Friday 9am-5pm, no weekends or after-hours!
  • Candidate to provide own basic hand tools. All other tools, equipment, uniforms & technology (tablets, laptop, phones, company truck, etc.) are provided by company.
  • Ability to track inventory and maintain appropriate inventory in company provided vehicle.

Additional Requirements:

  • Active Florida driver’s license & clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation (to commute to and from office/job-site during training phase until company truck is issued).
  • This position is subject to pre-employment & periodic drug screening/tests.
  • Maintain company vehicles and equipment to acceptable standards.
  • Must have a positive and friendly attitude and ability to relate to residential & commercial tenants, dependable, hardworking, ability to think clearly, follow instructions, dress and act professionally at all times.
  • Preferred but not required-EPA certificate, HVAC certification, Bilingual
  • Ability to work with the team and a willingness to learn new skills.
