To become a maintenance supervisor, you first need a high school diploma or GED certificate. Though some jobs require a degree in maintenance or a related field, most maintenance supervisor jobs only require a vocational school certificate or significant work experience. If you would like to further your career, you can become a certified maintenance supervisor through requirements set by the International Maintenance Institute (IMI).
