Maintenance directors can work in a variety of industries and locations. Typically, anywhere that has a large physical plant and many support staff responsible for daily maintenance and repair needs a maintenance director. Some of the more common places in which you can find work include large educational institutions, such as high schools, colleges, and universities, manufacturing facilities or production factories, hospitals and other healthcare facilities, hotels or resorts, government buildings or agencies, office buildings, and large apartment complexes.
