Strategic Legal Practices is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Administrator to join our litigation team. This role supports attorneys and paralegals in managing court filings, coordinating service of process, processing court payments and transfers, calendaring deadlines, and maintaining case files.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of legal procedures and court filing systems, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and file legal documents with state and federal courts (electronically and in person)
  • Coordinate and process court filing fees and payments, including submitting payment through court e-filing portals and tracking payment confirmations
  • Handle transfer of funds to courts for filing fees, sanctions, and other court-ordered payments
  • Coordinate service of process and ensure compliance with applicable rules and deadlines
  • Calendar and monitor litigation deadlines, hearings, and court appearances
  • Coordinate and reserve hearing dates with courts and opposing counsel
  • Maintain organized and accurate case files and records
  • Track filings, service, court confirmations, and payment receipts
  • Communicate professionally with court personnel, clients, opposing counsel, and internal staff
  • Assist attorneys and paralegals with document preparation, correspondence, and administrative tasks
  • Support overall case management to ensure timely progression of matters

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a law firm or litigation environment preferred
  • Familiarity with California state and federal court filing systems
  • Experience processing court payments and filing fee transfers preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
