Job description

Legal Office Administrator
We are searching for a legal office administrator to join our in-house legal team โ€” someone who can work effectively under pressure and consistently meet deadlines. Our ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to learn quickly; work in a fast-paced environment; work both independently and as part of a team; and, most importantly, adapt to varying work situations. This position has varying duties, so being able to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and help out where needed is essential.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Drafting correspondence and filing basic legal documents;
  • Improving and creating administrative processes for a more efficient workflow;
  • Managing the departmentโ€™s ticketing system;
  • Calendar litigation deadlines and monitor case updates;
  • Completing administrative duties such as making copies, scheduling meetings, etc;
  • Sorting and maintaining the legal department's online file system;
  • Maintaining and organizing company files;
  • Assisting and supporting tasks where needed.
Ideal candidate's qualifications:
  • Effective verbal and written communication;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and general proficiency in Microsoft Suite;
  • Experience creating and maintaining spreadsheets, tracking data, and organizing chart based information;
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail;
  • Reliable in meeting deadlines and managing time-sensitive tasks;
  • Demonstrates reliability and accountability while balancing competing priorities:
  • Problem-solver with the ability to prioritize;
  • Team player who can also work independently;
  • Degree preferred;
  • Pay rate commensurate with experience.
