About Us:
Stillman Law Office, a multi-state law firm focused on collections and legal support services, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Legal Office Assistant to join our Connecticut team. In this role, you will provide administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals, draft, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence, and file and organize case files, court documents, and confidential records. You will also answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, manage calendars, communicate professionally with courts, clients, and third-party vendors, coordinate courier services, maintain office supplies, and notarize documents as needed if certified. If you are organized, professional, and interested in the legal field, we encourage you to apply.
The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and maintains a strong sense of confidentiality while demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills. You should be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate degree or paralegal certificate considered a plus. Candidates with 1-2 years of experience in a legal or professional office setting, familiarity with legal terminology and document formats, and proficiency in Microsoft Office or legal case management software are preferred.
