Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and driven Learning & Development Specialist to support the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs across the organization. This individual will play a key role in enhancing employee performance, onboarding effectiveness, and ongoing professional development. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong instructional design skills, and is comfortable leveraging technology to deliver engaging learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs for new hires and existing employees, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and performance standards.
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify training needs and implement scalable learning solutions.
  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including course uploads, tracking, reporting, and optimization of user experience.
  • Create engaging training materials, including presentations, job aids, and e-learning modules, with a strong emphasis on high-quality PowerPoint development.
  • Facilitate both virtual and in-person training sessions, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and learner engagement.
  • Track and analyze training effectiveness using data and feedback, making continuous improvements to content and delivery methods.
  • Support onboarding initiatives and ongoing development programs to enhance employee retention and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Learning & Development, training, or instructional design, required.
  • Strong experience managing and utilizing an LMS is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint with the ability to create polished, engaging presentations.
  • Experience within a healthcare or medical practice setting, particularly supporting Medical Assistants (MA), is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with clinical workflows and training needs in a medical environment is a plus.
  • Experience with Canvas or similar learning platforms is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and operate as a “go-getter” in building and improving training programs.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
