Position Summary

The Learning & Development Trainer delivers educational content on specific banking functions by preparing and presenting training sessions tailored to various banking roles utilizing multiple instructional techniques. This position verifies that all instructional materials are relevant, accurate, and aligned with current industry standards and bank policies. The Learning & Development Trainer reports to the Learning & Development Manager and provides excellent service and support to team members and customers while demonstrating the Company's values and supporting the mission.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver educational content on specific banking functions by preparing and presenting training sessions tailored to various banking roles utilizing multiple instructional techniques
  • Verify instructional materials are relevant, accurate, and aligned with current industry standards and bank policies
  • Provide clear explanations, practical examples, and opportunities for participants to engage with the material, ensuring a thorough understanding of the specific banking functions essential to their positions
  • Stay abreast of changes and updates to bank products and policies and verify the accuracy of information provided to learners
  • Assess opportunities to optimize training coordination and recommend strategies to improve the efficiency of learning and development processes
  • Serve as a point of contact for team member inquiries regarding available training sessions
  • Generate training reports to track participation, completion rates, and the effectiveness of learning programs
  • Adhere to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program
  • Attend training as requested
  • Participate in outside community activities as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience providing training in a formal environment or through informal settings
  • 1 year banking experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard software applications including virtual meeting platforms utilized for remote training sessions
  • Familiar with Learning Management Systems
  • Basic organization and time management skills
