We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Learning & Development Specialist to support important aspects of talent management ranging from onboarding, performance management, and learning across the organization. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about creating a great team member experience and is eager to build skills in training, facilitation, and program coordination.

Job Summary

What You'll Do:

Support New Hire Orientation (Primary Focus)

  • Coordinate and execute MyStart New Hire Orientation (NHO) sessions, including scheduling, materials, and logistics
  • Serve as facilitator and/or presenter for portions of orientation
  • Create a welcoming, engaging experience that reflects our culture and values
  • Collect feedback from new hires and help improve the onboarding experience

Coordinate Learning Programs

  • Support planning and delivery of training sessions (in-person and virtual)
  • Prepare materials, manage registrations, and track attendance
  • Maintain training calendars and communicate learning opportunities

Manage Learning Systems & Data

  • Update and maintain content in the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Track training completion and generate basic reports
  • Provide support to team members accessing training resources

Grow Your Facilitation Skills

  • Support facilitators and gradually lead portions of training sessions
  • Build confidence presenting content to groups over time
  • Provide coordination and administrative support for performance management activities, including report tracking, resource updates, and leader communications 
  • Assist in maintaining performance-related learning content and ensuring materials are accessible, accurate, and up to date
  • Support data gathering and reporting efforts related to performance cycles and development initiatives
  • Provide support to team members accessing performance and talent development resources

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Education, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience:

  • 0-2 years (preferred 2+ years) of experience in HR, training, education, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to present to groups
  • A positive, customer-focused mindset

Additional Skills:

  • Experience supporting or facilitating training (internships count)
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms (Oracle HCM or Workday) or virtual tools (Teams, Zoom, etc.)
  • Interest in learning design, facilitation, or employee development
  • May require the use of safety equipment, such as HEPA mask, for infection prevention: No
