Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Learning & Development professional to join our client's dynamic training team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for learning and a knack for leveraging AI tools to develop 'in the moment' learning solutions, such as video, simulations, and practical applications. You will be instrumental in designing and building online job aids, references, and materials that support classroom training events and e-learning solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts to define learning objectives.
  • Perform needs analysis and evaluate existing documentation to identify the most appropriate training approach and content.
  • Plan and write content for training programs using instructional and distribution methods (online, classroom, or blended) that best suit the content.
  • Create engaging and valid trainee evaluation tools that ensure successful knowledge transfer.
  • Build processes and templates to minimize development time for new training materials and facilitate participation in the development cycle.
  • Maintain existing programs to ensure content remains complete and relevant.

Essential Skills
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in instructional design or a related field.
  • Knowledge and application of instructional theories, adult learning, and knowledge management theories in both online and classroom settings.
  • Experience as a technical writer and in any educational environment.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications, HTML, and Photoshop.
  • Experience using e-learning software, such as Captivate or Viewlet Builder.
  • Proven competence using a Learning Management System (LMS).
