Malaparte is looking for a strong Lead Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

We are a busy Italian restaurant in the West Village focused on simple, seasonal food, handmade pastas, and consistent execution. We are looking for someone reliable, organized, and able to lead by example during service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the line during service and help keep the kitchen organized and efficient
  • Execute dishes consistently according to restaurant standards
  • Support prep, station setup, and daily mise en place
  • Communicate clearly with the Chef
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
  • Help train and support line cooks when needed
  • Assist with receiving, labeling, storage, and inventory control
