Job Role: Sales Development Representative (IT & Technology)

Employment Type: Full-Time Employee (W-2)
Salary: OTE $75k+ (Bonus, Uncapped Commission and Benefits)
Experience Level: Entry to Junior (1-3 years)
Job Summary
Are you the "go-to" tech person in your circle? Are you a top performer at your current retail tech job (Best Buy, Apple, Verizon) but tired of the retail grind and weekend shifts?
NerdsToGo Plano is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help us grow our local business footprint. This isn't just a sales job; it's a career path. You'll use your technical DNA to help small and medium-sized businesses in Plano solve their IT headaches. You will be the bridge between complex tech problems and simple, effective solutions.
What You'll Do (The Role)
  • The "Nerd" Discovery: Meet with local business owners to understand their current tech setups and identify where we can help them be more secure and efficient.
  • Solution Crafting: Work with our lead technicians to build IT service proposals (Managed Services, Cybersecurity, Cloud Backups).
  • Closing the Deal: Follow up on inbound leads and actively reach out to local businesses to show them the value of having a professional "Nerd" team on their side.
  • Customer Success: Act as the primary point of contact during the onboarding process to ensure our new clients feel like they are in good hands.
  • CRM Management: Keep our pipeline organized (we'll train you on the tools!) so no lead gets left behind.

What We're Looking For
  • The Tech "Knack": You don't need a Computer Science degree, but you must know your way around Windows/Mac, Wi-Fi networks, and basic hardware. If you've worked at a repair desk or a tech retail floor, you're exactly who we want.
  • The Gift of Gab: You can explain "the Cloud" or "IP Addresses" to someone's grandmother without making her feel confused.
  • Hunger for Growth: You want to move out of retail and into professional B2B sales. You are motivated by a stable base salary but driven by the uncapped commission.
  • Local Professionalism: You are a "neighbor" to the Plano community-reliable, punctual, and helpful.

Why Join NerdsToGo Plano?
  • Stable Income: Competitive base salary paid bi-weekly.
  • Big Upside: Uncapped commission structure - your hard work directly impacts your paycheck (OTE $75k+).
  • Better Lifestyle: Monday through Friday schedule. No more retail holidays or late-night mall shifts.
  • FTE Benefits: Permanent W-2 position with access to health benefits, PTO, and career advancement into IT Management or Senior Account Executive roles.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
