This position works closely with executive leadership, the People team, and cross-functional stakeholders to craft messaging and engagement strategies that communicate WPP Media's vision, values, and initiatives to employees across our United States campuses.
Our internal communications function plays a central role in shaping how employees experience WPP Media - from how we communicate change to how we celebrate wins. This is the right role for a strategic communicator who leads with empathy, operates with urgency, and knows how to build culture through storytelling.
- Developing and executing comprehensive internal communications strategies that align with business objectives, enhance employee engagement, and strengthen company culture, including company announcements, internal & partner events, employee wellness, and cultural moments.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization to ensure effective information flow and message alignment.

- Collaborating closely with cross-functional counterparts to create integrated communications plans that connect internal audiences with external thought leadership and company achievements.
- Overseeing the development and management of internal communications channels, including intranet content, employee newsletters, town halls, and digital collaboration platforms.
- Partnering with senior leadership to develop and deliver executive communications, including internal presentations, employee spotlights, and town hall content.
- Partnering with the employee experience team to develop programs and internal events that strengthen company culture and promote organizational values.
- Managing and mentoring internal communications team members while coordinating with external vendors and partners as needed.
- Creating and implementing measurement strategies to assess the effectiveness of internal communications initiatives and gather employee feedback.
- Staying current with internal communications best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends to improve the function's effectiveness, including CRM platforms and artificial intelligence, with the support of the company and department
Skills and Experience
- 5years of relevant experience in internal communications or employee engagement. A bachelor's and advanced degree in a related field are both pluses, as are any industry certifications or awards for outstanding work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content for diverse employee audiences.
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategic internal communications plans that drive employee engagement and support organizational change.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and cross-functional projects while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships at all levels.
- Deep understanding of internal communications channels and technologies, including digital workplace tools, measurement methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience in CRM platforms like Mailchimp, Poppulo, or Hubspot; Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams); and design software like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva. Knowledge of AI tools is a plus.
- Interest in media, entertainment, technology, brands, and advertising, ideally with curiosity about organizational development, employee engagement, and workplace culture.
