For homeowners, our platform is a reliable way to find skilled pros. For pros, we're a reliable business partner who helps them find the winnable work they want, when they want. For employees, we're an amazing place to call home. We can't wait to welcome you.
Angi at a glance:
  • Founded in 1995 as Angie's List and rebranded in 2021
  • Global company with 9 brands in 8 countries and employees worldwide
  • Homeowners have turned to us for 300 million home projects and counting

About the team:
Angi's Corporate Communications team is responsible for building brand recognition, trust and authority among homeowners, service professionals, employees and key stakeholders. The team runs integrated external and internal communications that elevate Angi's reputation, strengthen employee engagement and reinforce the company's position as the leader in home services.
What you'll do:
The Communications Coordinator serves as a key member of the Corporate Communications team, driving proactive earned media opportunities, supporting executive visibility, managing core internal communications programs and uncovering proprietary data and marketplace insights that fuel compelling storytelling.
We are looking for a candidate who is based in Indianapolis in order to support media interviews, podcast recordings, events, and other in-person engagements.
External Communications & Media Relations
  • Conduct proactive media outreach against the team's annual communications objectives and KPIs, and help build relationships with consumer and trade media.
  • Draft press releases, media pitches, Qwoted and HARO responses and other communications materials for review.
  • Help support executive spokespeople - staffing interviews, broadcast, podcast recordings and media events.
  • Own operational execution of the Ask Angi column and on-site production logistics for the Own It with Angie Hicks podcast.
  • Contribute recurring story ideas rooted in Angi's first-party data, and flag emerging homeowner, pro and AI trends early.
  • Support agency partners with messaging, story ideas and spokesperson opportunities.

Communications Operations & Measurement
  • Own daily media monitoring across Angi and competitive brands, maintain media lists, journalist databases and trackers, and escalate any risk early.
  • Build monthly reporting on earned media, share of voice, media quality and communications performance.
  • Help manage communications platforms and vendors (Notified, Mailchimp, monitoring tools) and recommend new tools, workflows and AI-powered efficiencies.

Internal & Executive Communications
  • Coordinate company-wide communications across Slack, Google Spaces and newsletters, and produce the bi-weekly Toolbox newsletter.
  • Support monthly All Hands end-to-end: webinar logistics, invitations, decks, recordings, surveys and recaps.
  • Help review internal communications from HR, IT and other business partners for clarity, consistency and message alignment.
  • Share notable company news, media coverage and business updates with employees.

Who you are:
  • 1-2 years of relevant publicity, communications or editorial experience, with demonstrated media outreach and placements you can point to.
  • Strong written and oral communicator with sound judgment on sensitive or high-visibility topics, and a strong organizer who juggles deadlines without dropping details.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team, and quick to ask when something needs a second set of eyes.
  • Curious about the news cycle - you spot the story in a data set - and AI-forward in how you work.
  • Based in Indianapolis and available for in-person media, podcast and event support.
  • BA/BS in communications or marketing preferred.

We value diversity
We know that the best ideas come from teams where diverse points of view uncover new solutions to hard problems. We welcome and value individuals who bring diverse life experiences, educational backgrounds, cultures, and work experiences.
Our hiring process may utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist in candidate screening and assessment. Our AI tools are designed to complement, not replace, human decision-making.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • The base salary band for this position ranges from $45,000 - $63,000, commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location.
  • This position will be eligible for a competitive year end performance bonus.
  • Full medical, dental, vision package to fit your needs.
  • Flexible vacation policy; work hard and take time when you need it.
  • Pet discount plans & retirement plan with company match (401K).
  • The rare opportunity to work with sharp, motivated teammates solving some of the most unique challenges and changing the world.
