Job description

Responsible for creating and managing communications, standard operating procedures, and training materials for Store Operations. Partners with internal teams to ensure clear, accurate messaging, maintains a digital content repository, and keeps materials up to date. Serves as a key resource across the organization while also leading and developing a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meets and communicates with business partners to determine communication needs related to Store Operations.
  • Responsible for translating common and specific business practices into written standard operating procedures.
  • Creates special communication vehicles based on requirements outlined in meetings, conference calls and written documentation.
  • Designs and creates reference and training materials related to specific Store Operations projects.
  • Reviews, proofreads and offers feedback on the written document produced by others.
  • Learns and understands store presentation and operational standards.
  • Manages an online repository of digital information.
  • Develops a regular process for the review of materials to determine the need for updates; updates materials as warranted by new or changing information.
  • Works collaboratively with and serves as a resource to both the Field organization and internal organizational partners.
  • Manages direct reports including staffing, goal setting, training, development, performance assessment, and disciplinary actions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in communications or related role required. Prior retail experience preferred.
  • Prior experience managing people preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Experience using InDesign and other Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills required.
  • High level of creativity and strong problem resolution skills required.
  • Ability to travel by car or air on an occasional basis. Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional travel as required.
