ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Brett Smalley - State Farm Agent is seeking a motivated and outgoing
Sales Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the insurance and financial services industry. This internship is designed for someone who enjoys building relationships, learning new skills, and developing a foundation in sales.
You'll work alongside experienced team members, learn proven sales techniques, and gain real-world experience helping customers protect what matters most. For the right individual, this internship offers a clear path to advancement into a full-time Sales Team Member role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn the fundamentals of insurance sales and customer relationship management.
- Build relationships with prospective and existing customers through phone, text, email, and in-person conversations.
- Assist with identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate insurance products.
- Schedule appointments and support licensed team members throughout the sales process.
- Follow up with leads and maintain accurate customer records.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service while creating a positive customer experience.
- Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to agency sales goals while developing the skills needed for a successful sales career.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and accept coaching.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to grow professionally.
- Ability to build rapport and develop relationships with customers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable using technology and learning new systems.
- Previous sales experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
